15/09 – Korean Culture Day in Sestroretsk

We are glad to invite you, your friends and family to the Korean Culture Festival.

Where: Sestroretsk, Tokareva st., 7, Zoschenko Central library

When: September 15 (Saturday), from 12:00 till 17:00

Organizers: “Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Rus” plant, St. Petersburg “Centralized library system of Kurortny district”

Festival program includes:

– On the main stage you will find traditional dances with drums (“samulnori”), dances with fans (“pujechum”), play on Korean folk plucked instrument (“kayagym”), as well as performances of K-POP cover dancer teams and singers Nataliya Nu and Alice Sultanbaeva.

– Creative workshops for the whole family: make a traditional paper river flashlight with your own hands, learn to write your name in Korean calligraphy.

– At culinary workshops from the “Koreana” and “Ommane” restaurants you will be able to cook the most delicious and popular Korean dishes, and the chefs from the restaurant “CJ Foods” will teach you how to cook Korean dumplings “mandu” and “gyudza”.

– Innovative digital photo zones “Spinner” and “Bullet Time” will allow you to be in the center of events, becoming the main character of the 360 degrees video, or feel like Neo from the “Matrix”, literally “stopping” time around you. Hi-tech will be presented not only by the modern photo zones, but also by Hyundai cars.

– You will be able to plan your future vacation in the “The Land of the Morning Calm” with the help of travel agencies – to your service information desks, as well as open lectures about the history of the Korean people and the most popular attractions.

– For a deeper immersion in the culture of Korea, we recommend visiting the 20-minute open lectures of Korean specialists.

You will find an exhibition of paintings by young Korean artists, as well as a photo exhibition of the famous photographer Kim Yong-Ho “Modeun Modern World”, dedicated to the comparison of objects of industry and culture.
