14/09 – Literary race “Ayda, Pushkin” of the charity fund AdVita
On September 14 at 10 o’clock the literary race “Ayda, Pushkin” of the charity fund AdVita is held in the Maritime Victory Park (Krestovsky Island). It is a fancy-dress party for adults and children. The goal is to raise money to support the Russian registry of potential bone marrow donors. We invite people in the costumes of Russian writers, their contemporaries and their characters.
The start of the race is at noon (12:00). For athletes under 14 years old, there are starts of three distances: 250 m, 500 m or 1 km. Adults can run either 3 or 5 km. All participants of the race will receive commemorative medals, and the winners will receive cups and prizes. We will definitely hold a costume contest and award the best one.
For those who want to run as a team (to gather friends or work colleagues), special conditions are provided. You can also support our action, but not participate in the race. To do this, just make a donation on the site zabeg.advita.ru
This is the third literary and sports event of the AdVita Foundation. The symbol of the charity race is Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin. Hence our tag-lines are “Ayda, Pushkin!” and “Be like Sasha”. Last year 445 people took part in the race. The total fee amounted to 632,293 rubles. Thanks to these funds, the AdVita Foundation was able to pay for antibiotics that help combat the deadly effects of high-dose chemotherapy.
