The Fabergé Museum was named #2 Museum in the TripAdvisor rating “Top 10 Best Museums in Russia”

TripAdvisor Recognizes Top Museums In The World With Annual Travelers’ Choice Awards.

TripAdvisor, the travel site that helps to find the latest reviews and lowest prices, this past week announced the winners of its Travelers’ Choice awards for Museums. Award winners were determined using an algorithm that took into account the quantity and quality of reviews and ratings for museums worldwide, gathered over a 12-month period.

The Fabergé Museum was named #2 Museum in the TripAdvisor rating “Top 10 Best Museums in Russia”.

The first place was taken by the Hermitage Museum, which also entered in the rating of “25 Best Museums in the World” on TripAdvisor.

For the Fabergé Museum in St.Petersburg, opened less than 5 years ago in the restored Shuvalov Palace, such a feedback from visitors is a great achievement!

The idea of creating a museum dedicated to the creative work of the great Russian jeweler Carl Fabergé came to the Link of Times Foundation after the purchase by Viktor Vekselberg in 2004 of a unique collection of Russian decorative and fine arts, which as of today contains more than 4000 works, and in terms of its size and the quality of its works has become one of the best collections in the world.

The most famous items in the Fabergé Museum are the nine Easter Eggs created for Alexander III and Nicholas II, the last of the Russian Emperors.
