Tour in Annenkirche

| SPIBA Quality of life Committee continues series of events under the theme SPIBA Cultural Discoveries which are devoted to the cultural heritage of Saint-Petersburg, significant events and outstanding creative personalities, and invites you to the tour in Annenkirche: the oldest Lutheran church in St. Petersburg, built in 1779 by the architect Yu.V. Felten.
Date: Thursday, September 6th, 2018 Time: 16:00 – 17.30 Venue: Annenkirche, 8b Kirochnaya ul. (see location) During the tour you will find out the history of the church and parish. You will discover how the famous church turned out into a cinema, then rock club and finally became one of the most visited Lutheran churches in Russia. You will investigate places usually hidden from visitors such as catacoms, bell tower and spiral stairs. And who knows, may be you will witness choir or organist rehearsal. The tour held by Evgeny Raskatov, Annenkirche priest. The meeting will be held in Russian. The number of participants is limited, confirmation is needed. |
